Purple Orchid

Another of our orchids produced a new flowering stem some time ago. The buds gradually grew bigger and on Friday the first of them finally revealed the colour the flowers. A second bud was already starting to open yesterday afternoon and had completely opened up this morning.

It has been a very busy Sunday filled with jobs at home that I usually don't have any time for during the week.

This afternoon we had a good thunderstorm. The wind and the very heavy rainfall broke the web of the spider that I blipped on Friday. I'm now watching it go up and down making a start on a new web.
