Looking for the Best Pick of the Moment
On this somewhat cloudy Sunday morning we went to the seaside together. Its been some time ago we walked together along the surf on a quiet morning. The sea was an intensely light blue watermass, wrinkling and swooshing out over the sandy shore. It was almost windless. And there we went, walking with the Gulls, the Terns and the Sanderlings. The tide was throwing up the snacks at some places.
There you would see many Gulls, older and younger ones standing, tripping and fluttering in a row or pell-mell. The young ones still sqeaking to be fed instead of trying to go for a pick themselves. And right through such a chaotic bunch some tiny Sanderlings were following their own track. Not at all impressed by the big fluttering Fishermen, as they are toddling after their own victuals: the speckled sealouse Euridice Pulchra…
So we made our surf walk with the Gulls almost all around the peninsula. And then we had our swim in the clean green-blue North sea. Willemien immersing her healing index-finger in the Best Salty Spa you can find around here. Meanwhile she is resuming her Pointing Work very well. A little fatigue is still hampering our Poor Trigger-Baby, but she is again happy up in the morning!
A lazy sunday morning walk it was and even the Sun came shining through.
We were glad to be home again as the beaches were being crowded with new visitors. The Gulls sailing indifferently over our heads and like we over the dunes into the outskirts of the city. And even here, where we are sitting together with Mischa on our small balcony, we can admire the flying and sailing skills of the many Gulls. They dive and pass over or stand on a chimney as they would land on a breaker water or just stand along the surfline looking for the Best Pick of the Moment.
