Alan

I met Alan 35 years ago playing underwater hockey. He became my father's landlord for 25 years. Alan has had cancer for about 20 years but has outlived my father who died of cancer last year. We kept in touch because of my Dad and because of Alan I went to a party yesterday - the 40th anniversary of the underwater hockey team that I played with in the 80s. In my heyday I was the captain of the London Ladies, a member of the Wickham Reds ( a mixed team) and a member of the England women's team. I would add that I have not played for about 20 years. Stopping coincided with children and moving out of London
Alan has had a lot of sadness in his life but told us yesterday that he plans to get married next year (when he will be 69) to his lady friend of 13 years.
