Droplets

With our dry-as-tinder drought conditions, I don't expect to see much evidence of dew. This morning I was surprised to notice these sparkling facets amidst a pile of dry leaves and brush. They have been there long enough to be enveloped with the gossamer strands of a spider's web. A closeup of the green leaf belonging to a live shrub shows the dainty patterning of veins, lit from behind by the sun.
