Rufford Old Hall

I had a lovely lie in this morning, just needed to recharge the battery. We then decided to visit Rufford Old Hall. I haven't been before as it is not open on a Friday. We enjoyed a walk around the garden and a couple of games of croquet on the lawn, followed by a quick tour of the house.

After a picnic lunch we moved on to Mere Sands Wood for a walk around the nature reserve and then a lovely drive back through the countryside.

Pottering in the garden is on the cards for the rest of the day, plus a BBQ. It is nice to have time to enjoy the garden.
