Elemental...

I am very sorry for my long absence, but have been on holiday then was inundated with work on my return. I have still been taking my daily Blip though, so will now try to catch up. I look forward to catching up with all your lovely Blips too. Normal service will be resumed as soon as possible!

This Blip is one of the series of 25 life size fibreglass Clydesdale horse scupltures which are currently adorning the streets of Hamilton. They are part of the "Ready, Steady, Gallop" initiative, which aims to encourage art and raise money for charity at the same time.

This horse was decorated by Vik Quickly. As it is Chinese year of the horse, Vik thought it would be fitting to show the Chinese elemental cycle so she started with Wood on the mane and back then continues down the horse with Fire, Earth, Metal and Water.

All of the sculptures will be offered for sale at an auction on 6th September 2014 to raise money for the Kilbryde Hospice, so if you have ever fancied a life size Clydesdale horse for your garden, now's your chance! It would also be an unusual and striking gift... :)
