Hendstock
What a brilliant and very humbling evening. I'm not sure how many people came along but there were folks there who I had not seen for 20 years. The only thing that was not perfect was the fact that Alf was unable to play.
We spent the with final prep and as usual had a load of help from friends (thanks Sarah, Pete, Darren, Bill etc).
We sound checked at 3 and people arrived after that.
All of the main acts were excellent. When we first talked about Hendstock in the early days one of the things we hoped for was that people would just get up and play together. This really happened this year, people who did not know each other just got on with it. Sam (pictured) was involved with most of it but T, Ted, Jamie, Simon, Matt O, Robbie, Danielle and load of other people had a go, and were all brilliant.
We did a set and I think probably played better than we ever have before. Jamie really got the crowd going and Sam played some Hammond for us AND PEOPLE DANCED!!!!
People drifted off and we finally finished at about 2:30..
Marvellous, thankyou to everyone who helped, came along, joined in....
Ninja took a load of great pictures, I'll link them later.
