300 Reasons......
To feel blessed.
Knowing that my 300th Blip was looming I had planned my early morning adventure well in advance. I was determined to return to St. Kilda where my Great Great Grandfather and Grandmother, George and Sophia Wall had settled when they first came to Australia via New Zealand.
I love the St. Kilda Pier and it was in my mind the perfect place to be this morning.
As I stood on the pier waiting for the sun to rise I knew that this was more than a blip location, I had a sense of this being my spiritual home. So many of my relatives had lived and worked in this area and the fact that my Great Grandfather Matthew Wall and two of his brothers were photographers made it even more meaningful for me.
Yes, I had my Sony Cybershot all set up to take the images but something compelled me to stand back and take in the scene with my iPhone. I was imagining my Grandfather standing there with his tripod all set to take photographs. I felt elated.
Every day as I scroll through the images that my blip friends and others have loaded from all corners of the world, I feel so happy that I found this wonderful community. blipfoto is in my humble opinion the most inspiring website on the internet. Thank you Al for pointing me in the right direction in the first place and thank you to all of my blip friends who consistently encourage and educate me.
