A beautiful, hot, sun shiny day, so I am really quite surprised at 9.30pm to discover there is a light rain falling that I hadn't heard but just saw.

Today's photo shows a broader view of the hospice grounds where all of my July flower images have been taken. It was a peaceful time with Dad today who was 'Dad' in every sense - he even looked healthier than he has done for weeks as he was talking about finances and investments and other favourite subjects as I look at his face and think how this is all so very unfair. Sometimes it's hard to be jolly.

Gareth (bro) came for supper by which time I had finished my beer.
