Newborn

We went for a day trip around the coast today. First stop was Whakatiwai regional park where we went for a bush walk. Near the end of the walk we came across these new arrivals. Mum was looking a little bit unsteady still and you can see the umbilical cords underneath the lambs. We had to go past them or it was the whole bush walk all over again, so we gave them as wide a berth as possible.

We then went to Kaiaua for fish and chips, then onto Miranda to the hot pools. Bliss!
