The Haar
An early morning flight meant that we arrived back in Edinburgh mid morning. It was a beautiful sunny day so decided to head to the coast only to find it shrouded in fog. Scottish people refer to this type of coastal fog as 'The Haar'. We drove around to several beaches hoping to find a break in the haar, we finally settled on Yellowcraigs. When we arrived the bass rock was completely obscured by the haar. It slowly started to emerge as the fog eased off.
