Came home tonight to a new toaster. I've never owned one before. So, no more burnt toast from our cold-then-suddenly-superfiery grill.

Another shiny thing today - holding a Gold Olympic Medal! Met rower David Smith today at the Game On Scotland event in Inverness. He won gold at the 2012 Paralympics. Very exciting to meet him and hear his story - what an incredible guy and a captivating, inspiring speaker. As well as the medical dramas he's been through and his journey from karate to bob sleigh to discovering adaptive rowing, the story of his team's Olympic race is something in itself.
