Airs and Grace Notes

Peebles has won an award for being the most creative place of its size (population under 10,000) in Scotland for 2014. There was a celebration concert on Tweed Green this afternoon which finished with a piece of music composed by Alison Cameron called Airs and Grace Notes. It was played by all those who had taken part in the concert who included pipers, singers, the Silver Band, violin players, a guitar player, a clarsach player and others. The piper in the picture is a member of the Tweedvale Pipe Band. It was a great way to spend another very hot afternoon.
