Going beween the Soutars

The Soutars are two headlands guarding the narrow entrance to the Cromarty Firth, a deep water reservoir that housed the British Fleet in two world wars, and is now home to oil platforms and luxury liners. I saw the QE2 pass through the Soutars, a few years back, all lit up like a Christmas tree. It was an emotional moment. (For me, in case you wondered.)
