Walking the plank

Ended up having a day where not not everything turned out as planned. First there was the intended walk up Mt John this morning which had to be abandoned due to the snow on the track had turned to ice. Then the fishing trip to the canals was a nonevent due to leaving some of the gear back at the caravan so we ended up going for a bit of a scenic drive through to Lake Benmore where I found this wee pier on the side of the lake. So at least there was more than one choice for today's blip. Also by the way we bumped into A Cycling Granny while having lunch, she had stopped off on the way to Christchurch at the same restaurant as us so we had a bit of chat and she was back on the bus and on her way again. It's a small world sometimes!
