Finally got my butterfly blip

The Gatekeeper is also known as the Hedge Brown. Apparently it spends a lot of its time basking with its wings open, which is the only reason I was able to capture it like this! Only the male has the distinctive brands on its forewings so I guess this is a male. I spotted it on our walk today. We found a new area to explore, had a picnic, then managed to pick enough blackberries to make a pie.
