But what does three mean?
We were up and at em very early this morning to go to the Commonwealth Games. Regular viewers would guess what sport I would insist we go and see, and one session of badminton was maybe getting a bit too much for some, but frankly I could stay and watch all week long and I would not be bored at all.
They said, do not take your cars, beware the crowds. To be honest early doors badminton was maybe not the crowd drawer like other sports but it was like driving to a friends in Glasgow, walking for 30
minutes and no queue to get in.
The real difficulty is at this stage in the competition the gulf between certain nations is quite considerable. This meant that of the four combined matches in the mixed team competition, three matches ended 5-0 and all individual matches were 2-0. Therefore it was interesting to see the level of some of the smaller nations and the level they have.
So there were few true battles. But the experience was great, and I am fishing to see if there are any chances of a return trip, which I doubt, but you never know.
One interesting aspect of the games was seeing the different levels of cooperation. The Australians were doing hand signals indicating, well I guess the play they were going to make.
