Looking back along our scrambling route up the north ridge of tryfan with the north tower in the foreground. Our guide was very patient and encouraging and got us up one of the finest mountains in the uk. Fantastic day in the hills with beautiful weather. Once you get up above the cannon the north ridge looks incredibly intimidating. There is a softer option round to the east but our guide encouraged us to take on the main ridge for some as the guidebook says 'entertaining' scrambling. Descent by the heather terrace was also fantastic.
