In Summer

Hubby had to work today, so the girls and I met with my sister and her dog at the river near to my Dad's farm. It's a busy spot but you can always just walk a few metres and be on your own. We had a yummy picnic then the girls played in the ford along with some school friends who were there with their families. Later, we took a short walk along the bank where the girls had a plodge in amongst the stones. Huge dragonflies were fluttering around - beautiful! It was a very warm afternoon and we went back to the farm for a while to see Grandad. We went to the hay field to find butterflies in amongst the thistles around the stone walls. There were quite a few!
