Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Wandering the Water's Edge

We were out of the house early again today. The mornings are quiet with few people out and about. This morning the wind was non-existent and the air was warm, so I left my sweatshirt at the house and wore my flipflops from the house to the shore and then just went barefoot on the sand. I wrapped my flipflops in Chloe's leash so I didn't have to carry them.

In the mornings, we walk the sandy shore and depending on the tide, we walk to either the pier at the north end of Cayucos or the south end park because both have bathrooms. That puts us out of the house for usually a couple hours to begin the day.

Then we usually walk again later in the day. Between those two long walks, we shower, get cleaned-up, cook (breakfast or dinner), clean-up the meal, do our daily reading together, feed the pooches, and we're doing much, way too much, looking out the windows--the view really is amazing.

We also usually go out in the car exploring, looking, discovering, taking pictures. I've tried to spend little time on Facebook, but still I spend too much time on technology (taking photos, emailing with my sister, and writing my blip).

So I have not read nearly enough books. I read an entire book while we were at family camp -- read Brennan Manning's memoir, ALL IS GRACE, (he is the author of the Ragamuffin Gospel).

I am, though, loving all the walking and all the watching.

Good night from California's Central Coast,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun, and Chloe, Mitzi, and Max),
aka Carol
