A sad/happy day.

Funerals are always sad occasions but you do get to meet relatives you haven't seen for a long time.
That was the case today when i was at the funeral of my cousin Robert (the Pilgrim).
It was actually a celebration of his life as told by his very good friend the minister of his church in Coatdyke. Robert was already down at Fenwick ready for his "green" burial with a tree being planted on his grave.

Because the minister was a good friend of Robert's he gave a superb account of his life and has us laughing a lot at all the funnies that had happened in Robert's life.

It was good to see my relatives from England as well as all the Scottish ones - (that's the happy part of the day), and we enjoyed a nice lunch at the local hotel and did lots of catch-up.
