Your place or mine ...

....murmured one fly to the other!

Met up with Kathy (chantler63) this morning at Ashridge Estate for a photography session. Spent a lovely day strolling round the woods - lots of butterflies (nearly blipped one of those shots), bees, flies and woodland shots. I did get one deer shot (can just about make him out in the dense trees before he disappeared).

After we had exhausted the photo opportunities we popped into the Brownlow Cafe. I had an apple juice (couldn't manage the delicious hot chocolate as it was too warm today) and a yummy slice of rhubarb and sour cream cake. We're determined to get through their whole selection of cakes .... not all on the one day though!

Just before we came out of the woods to walk back up the main path, we stopped to photograph the ferns. It was then that I spotted this pair of flies. They were so distracted with what they were doing, I had plenty of time to get the camera set up and take a focus stack of their carrying ons!
