" UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL " - A visitor.

No song title this evening - brain dead as its too hot.

This small Tortoiseshell butterfly was sitting on the conservatory furniture when I came home at lunchtime. I got the camera out of course and after taking several shots, I opened all the windows and doors then wasted the next 10 minutes trying to rescue it and let it out. After much arm waving, I gave up and left it at it! It wasn't in residence later in the afternoon.

Boring day at work with nothing to do so was glad when it was time to 'knock off'. Finished a stain glass candle holder this afternoon, a present for friends we will be visiting in August.

Took Phoebe out this evening when it was much cooler. Not sure whether she whithers more than me in this heat. We'll call it a draw.

No work tomorrow, except cleaning the house ready for the Estate Agents photos and Matthew's weekend visit.

Hope you have all survived this heat, hopefully it will calm down a bit tomorrow. Not easy vacuuming in this heat.

Hope you like my butterfly. Now going to sit outside in the cool evening and will probably get bitten, again.
