North Sea at St Andrews - Hard to believe!

Parking was virtually impossible at the East Sands beach today - it was lovely seeing hoards of children playing with buckets and spades and many people braving the normally icy waters to swim and paddle.

I am used to seeing wind surfers, people in kayaks all with wet suits on and of course the hardy dog walkers at this beach but I do not recall seeing quite so many families having fun (most of them at the other end of the beach) - of course temperatures in the high 20s does help!
