Keeping cool

Lovely day including a hot bike ride back from nursery. C took a caterpillar birthday cake to nursery with him and all the children sang happy birthday to him, he was really pleased with himself when I picked him up!

After naptime and some more work we attempted to cool down in the garden - C kept wanting to tip buckets of water over my feet out of his paddling pool which was actually perfect in this weather!

C has gone to bed and was flat out by 7.30pm tonight after we told him the sooner he went to sleep the sooner it would be his birthday tomorrow. He is excited. T has just built a little tikes house in about 20 mins in the garden and declared it MUCH easier than last year's kitchen which took 3 hours!!!
