A different sort of guest
These are the wedding invites and tags that my fiancé and I spent weeks making. As we are getting married abroad we're not going to have any guests there, so instead we will have a Wishing Tree and will tie the tags to it with the messages and well wishes from our nearest and dearest.
The poem reads:
We would like you to join us
On our special day
So we came up with an idea
As we will be far away
We have made a little tag
Using ribbon and lace and stuff
On it, please write a message
Of congrats, well wishes and love
You can write whatever you fancy
Or add a picture - you can choose
And we will hang them at the wedding
Before Karl hits the booze
Your smiles will go on safari
Your wishes might meet a giraffe
Your advice might even be followed
And your comments will make us laugh
So go on, get creative
And tell us what you're thinking
We will treasure the tags always,
And when we're back we'll get the drinks in.
