Father Eagle Bringing In Food

Today was a long day...and the eaglet did not leave the nest. But once again we enjoyed an amazing day of observation, watching the parents do a great deal of feeding. Here the father is bringing in a catch...look at his talons and you can see an animal hanging. Remember, these eagles are 3 feet tall, and can have a 7 foot wing span...hard to imagine how big they are.

Here is a photo of the area near the eagles nest...it is a beautiful area in Washington County OR, very near homes, but in an unincorporated area which is still farmland.
