Parcel!

I had a parcel from Matthews Mum today it contained two DVD's, a loom band kit and a sampler, a lovely surprise!

Julie is a very talented artist, lace maker, knitter, in fact every sort of art and craft there is. Matthew's Grandfather, or Channa as he is known, also knits, he knits lots of rectangles which he then gives to Julie and she makes all sorts of things with them. Earlier in the year she made a baby blanket for a new addition to the family with them and I thought it was fabulous. We asked if Julie if she would make us a blanket with the rectangles from Channa so this a sample of the edges and embellishments the we can choose. We'll be visiting this weekend so I we can chat about the blanket.....

In other news, I popped into work and caught up with a few folk, mixed emotions about being there. I then had a lovely catch up and scrummy cake with Shirley and then went to Hobbycraft to get some bits and bobs as I need to make some more greetings cards.

I ended up in the Chemo unit for the nurses there to redress and flush my line and they have said that I can go there each week rather than have the District Nurse out, I think that will work out better for me and probably the District Nurses. My skin has reacted to the 'medipore tape' used and was as itchy as hell, thankfully I've not reacted to the actual dressing.

Watched the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games, some good and bad bits. Looking forward to watching the games over the next 10 days.
