This is the real nature's velcro!

I blipped this a month ago thinking it was the horrid 'sticky' thing that plays havoc with the dog's long coats sticking like velcro. I was wrong - this was a thistle - sharp spines on the flower head, leaves and stem.
Today's blip is what I meant - touch it and it sticks to you, no prickles, smooth leaves and stem. Get it in a dog's long coat and it quickly forms a tangle. Looking closely you can see why - not straight spines but hundreds of tiny hooks - just like velcro.
