Drinks at The Fox

It's midweek weekend for me as I have Tuesday and Wednesday off!

I spent the morning watching Once Upon a Time and then planned a Disneybound outfit to wear for the rest of the day. After aiming for Pocahontas and failing, in the end I chose her feathery sidekick Flit. I wore a white skirt, fuchsia pink top and turquoise green satin cardigan with pink feather earrings and green sandals. Ideally I would also have some sort of hummingbird motif either on a pendant or on a tee shirt but the earrings are all I have so far.

I Skyped home and spoke to Jen and Dad for a catch up before setting off on the bus to Hanwell. I then walked through the town all along the main road until I came to Ealing and Ealing Broadway. This is much more like a town centre with a shopping centre, high street shops and the big church which looks very pretty.

I staked out some charity shops before heading to my usual favourite - TK Maxx. I bought. A pair of Wrangler skinny jeans which are printed and dyed to look like clouds in the sky which I already know will be perfect for Up and Soarin' Disneybounding!

I also hunted for white brogues but couldn't find the ones I wanted anywhere so I shall have to keep looking.

After that I went to Marks and Spencer to buy food for dinner and chose pulled pork, onion rings and house salad with Mexican coleslaw on the side. I also bought dessert if strawberries and champagne cream and egg custards.

After shopping I caught the bus home and once I got in I took Ted for a brief walk out in the garden. He appreciated the grass t eat although I dare say it can't have been very juicy or tasty as it is looking rather dry and brown.

I made dinner for Luke and I and we ate dessert whilst watching Diners Drive Ins and Dives about different foodie places in America.

After eating we popped around the corner for a belated celebratory drink at our new local pub The Fox to drink to our new jobs and enjoy the cool evening in the beeper garden.

Today I am grateful for the chance to take a break from work and enjoy being outside in the sun when I want and then being inside where it's cool and air conditioned when it is too hot.
