Catching up with friends

It's great to finish a day with a visit to costa with your best mate & the new mint & lime cooler was very tasty. A bit like a mojito without the rum!


At lunchtime today I met another friend and colleague who works for Chelmsford YMCA. I have known Heather for many years and our paths cross regularly for work.

I first met her when she was children's centre manager for 2 west essex sure start children's centres and I was parenting coordinator for West Essex PCT.

I moved to the health visiting team and then to a sure start children's centre and heather went off to work for Hertfordshire council (I think) to support children with additional needs.

When I came to work for the diocese of chelmsford I found a leaflet for Chelmsford YMCA. I opened it up and there was Heathers picture!

I dropped her an email and we met for lunch. Since then we have met every 6 months or so. Heather is a great inspiration to me and it was great to hear what she had been doing and her plans. Including her next new adventure at Epping Primary school starting in September. Good luck Heather!
