Ythan Yair

A yair is an ancient fish trap and although the light was dull I blipped this to show the semi circle of stones at low tide. Long ago the stones would have been topped with wicker work . At high tide unsuspecting fish swam in only to be trapped as the tide ebbed.
In the back left is a heron forlornly remembering olden times before the river eroded the trap.
