Our five mile world

By hazyheap

cost of the frost!

Bill has spent the last few months emptying our once fully stocked log store to keep our wood burning stove well fed and this is the result.

Already he has identified a dead ash tree to refill the space for next winter. A good dry summer and warm winds will dry the wood in the well ventilated store he built.
Days of chopping, splitting and stacking lie ahead.

Bill's Grandpa used to say that wood could provide him with five heats.
First as he gathered it, then as he sawed it, chopped it, stacked it and finally burnt it.

This is his third Blip!
