River Ae

Second outdoor swim of the year. We used to come here in the summer when we were kids - looking back now I think our parents were quite brave letting us go ourselves. There was a second good spot which you could get to by walking straight across the field in front of the house, but we usually came down here, where the road crosses the river.

A family of otters had been spotted here, but I expect we made too much noise for them to put in an appearance. Would be great to see though.
