Dark Green Fritillary

Spent the morning doing the butterfly transect, which was highly productive, especially small skippers and gatekeepers. I saw the purple emperor again, resting on the ground, but again failed to get a photograph. Instead here's a somewhat battered and faded dark green fritillary feeding on ragwort.
