Vain the ambition of kings...
"Vain the ambition of kings
Who seek by trophies and dead things,
To leave a living name behind,
And weave but nets to catch the wind."
-- John Webster (1580?-1625?), The Devil's Law Case, V.iv.
Perhaps those Kings should have tried using horizontal axis wind turbines instead of nets? Or was Webster advocating the use of a proper mix of renewable energy technologies...?
