Inheritance
This cup, saucer and plate were given to my daughter Nina by her great Aunt Marjory. It was part of a set that belonged to my great grandmother Caroline Saunders Hawketts who was born in the United States and lived most of her life in England.
Her children were Ethel, Mabel, Hilda, Gladys, Lucy and Russell. I met them all in 1976 in England and Wales. They are now all deceased as are my Dad and his sisters. We are still in contact with various cousins around the world but my grandmother was the only one that moved to Australia after the First World War.
I have blipped this so that I can remember who owns what and where it came from...after awhile things get a bit confused in my head.
I went to get my drivers licence renewed the other day and they refused as I had vertigo back in 2010. I had to go to the doctor to have a medical. What a waste of time! I am friendly with the GP so it was a nice social chat while filling out the necessary forms but I had to take time off work to organise it all. Oh well I guess it keeps the roads a bit safer.
