Up early and left a sleepy house as I headed north to meet my pals daughters.
They wanted to go up a hill, having lived all their life here they had not travelled up hill from the shore.
Our hill of choice was Canisp.
A walk through the quartzite strewn landscape with a frontal system coming to meet us.
A blast of rain and a temp drop forced us to seek shelter.
A brake and we headed up, the summit just ahead and we stopped for lunch and views. I went through the views and sights that they would know but from the road.
A pleasant stroll back were we came across a dottrel with 2 chicks, we watched them for ages.
Back to the cottage for soup and chat. Hopefully meet the girls for another stroll up a local height.
