The Afrikaans Bible gives "nederigheid" for "gentleness" but I don't think that it means the same thing. Nederigheid is more humbleness than gentleness. Maybe it's the same.

I forgot to say - the pigeon chicks are no more. The mother didn't return after Friday night's storm & judging by how wet they were on Satruday morning, I don't think she was there during the storm either.
