Echinacea Bud

I’ve tried for a couple of years to grow some echinacea without much success. The slugs & snails seem to like the young plants and perhaps it’s been too dry other years especially when we’ve been away. This year I have a couple of stems from one plant and another plant with one stem struggling after again suffering from munching snails ( pause while she dashes out to put a few green slug pellets about) The fascinating patterns of the opening buds are quite amazing.
