Tiree

I'm catching up with my Blips from last week - this day (Thursday) we arrived in the beautiful island of Tiree - it's one of these places that I've wanted to go for years, and looked at many pictures of the white sands. You worry that when you get there it is going to rain and you won't get to appreciate it.

No,no. The sun shone bright and it was HOT! This is Crossapol beach right next to the site of Tiree Music Festival. And even though 1500 people were at the festival the beach remained beautifully quiet all weekend. We spent our first day pitching our tent and walking across the island (mainly in search of water as we were so roasting and the village shop had recently closed!)
