Grandma goes solo/Dead butterfly
Grandma went solo today on account of my (Farmer) Dad having to haymake!
It was actually lovely to see her on her own with Audrey. Audrey is a proper Grandad's Girl so Grandma often doesn't get a look-in when they visit together. I could tell that Audrey really enjoyed today though as when I got home she was chattering away about things she's done with Grandma. Something about playing with her doll Rosie and sandwiches! And the highlight was waving her off on the tram. "Grandma gone yellow train!!!" is all I've heard tonight.
I had a work meeting in town with a client that likes to pull last minute meetings on me. Oh and who also likes to be at least 45mins late.
I had to have a bit of a chat with him about it afterwards, explaining my personal situation ref childcare and my husband working away. Cringe. He said it "just wasn't on his radar" and that perhaps I should "manage my time better". Mmmmm or maybe he could give me more than an hour's notice for a meeting in future! Really made me mad.
Took this picture in Chorlton park. Audrey was playing with sticks, trying to climb trees and generally being a tomboy. She also accidentally killed a butterfly which was quite upsetting (for me, she was oblivious - there's something really awful about a dead butterfly!)
