Statues of Edinburgh #1
I have been meaning to start blipping the statues round Edinburgh for a while and finally got round to it today with a 'two for the price of one' shot in St Andrew's Square.
In the foreground is James Clerk Maxwell (1831-1879), who demonstrated that electricity, magnetism and even light are all manifestations of the same phenomenon: the electromagnetic field.
On top of the column is Henry Dundas, 1st Viscount Melville (1742-1811) who was a Scottish lawyer and politician, and the last person to be impeached in the United Kingdom.
