Sun in the darkness

Sunflowers attract me as effortlessly as they attract bees. It seems to me I cannot leave any sunflower alone. I have to do something with the bright, friendly beauty of these interesting flowers.
Sunflowers choose to look at the bright side of life. It will even grow on the highway alone and bloom where nature chose to plant it. These brilliant, blooming flowers attract attention wherever one sees them, is it as a group photo in the fields of a faraway farm or in Van Gogh's vase.
She even unselfishly scatters seeds of joy and the hope and promise of new life to anyone with an open hand. Birds adore her rich seeds. The oil flowing from her inner self is poured out selflessly and without restraint.
I want to be like a sunflower in the darkness.
