Country Gate

A very hot day for golf, even with an earlier start than usual. Had a total meltdown on 2 or 3 holes, but other than that played well.

Our friend and golfing partner Russell came out and walked the last few holes with us. His radio- & chemotherapy is finished now and the tumour is shrinking well; he's building up his strength and hoping to play 9 holes with us next week for the first time since his treatment began. He had to have an op to remove the rest of the tumour in about 6 weeks time but is hoping for a good prognosis after that. Helps to put the odd bad golf hole into perspective.
