William Stafford Studies
I am attending a William Stafford Studies class at Lewis and Clark College this week. We get full access to the incredible archives which contain over 30,000 pages of daily writing and correspondence, all drafts of all of his poems, and over 16,000 negatives from his extensive photography craft. This particular exhibit features one of his Canon cameras, and three photographs of his writing colleagues, Ursula LeGuin, Primus St. John, and Richard Hugo. The class is taught by his son and my friend, Kim Stafford, and I will enjoy this week immensely.
