Frog In A Flower
My wife spotted this little guy hanging out in a calla lily (it started a day of critters for her, a large ugly centipede when washing dishes, a big hairy spider on her projects, and a dead lizard - thanks to the cats - on the path) while she was making the round of the yard this morning. The frog was very patient, which is a good thing as I had to find a ladder in order get the correct angle (this after a first attempt by standing on a chair). The light was also a challenge as the bright white flower was in direct sun, while the little green frog was in the shade. I blocked some of the sun with my leg while balancing on the top step of of the ladder and trying to hold my camera steady. Without a real macro lens, this is a fairly tight crop of the original capture, but the sharpness holds up quite well.
