Well, if you're a duck, then the area of land near the water is where you want to be. I guess this isn't too different from us humans!

The duck on the left-hand side of this photo first came flying in from out of nowhere. I of course was glued to my camera trying to photograph the gosling, so I missed the opportunity to catch a photo of the flying duck. Anyway, after landing the duck went on over to this spot where another duck was previously standing and proceeded to quack away into the spot! The other duck didn't put up a fight and instead moved away from the quacking duck. I guess I would move too!
