Parking charges with a difference!

I set out today to fulfil a summer project for college. This took me to Glasgow City Centre, where I came across these charging bays for electric cars. They're in the Merchant City area, and I'm not sure how long they've been here, but I don't think they were there two months ago!

Very impressive to see - a taste of the future perhaps?
