Ardesier Parish Church ...
Ardesier remains a popular tourist spot due to the pleasant views, the shore, and the proximity to Fort George, which remains an active base for the British Army. The post office closed in the village a few years ago and there is an old church that is not in use. There is a 'new' church called Ardersier Parish Church which is where Helen Mirren and Taylor Hackford were married in 1997. There are two small shops, [RS McColl and Spar], a pharmacy [which currently has a postal service], a hairdressers, several B and B's, a pub and a hotel. Local residents, are active in regenerating Ardersier being keen to see it once again a thriving village. They formed their own community company ARDCO in December 2009 to take over local community buildings to create a Community Hub. In 2013, refurbishment of Ardersier War Memorial Hall was begun and it re-opened for public use in 2014.

Note the 'bell' in front on the left of the church as opposed to it being in a tower, there was no clanger in it ! we supposed that too many people 'tried to ring it' so it was removed until it needed to be rung, possibly for morning worship on Sundays.
